Welcome to Readers Restaurant
Welcome to Readers Restaurant. Purveyors of fine food.
Situated in the historic Church Street in Tulbagh, Readers Restaurant first opened its doors in 1997.
In House Dining
Catering for weddings,
yoga retreats, etc.
As seen on TV on the program “In die sop with Bertus Basson”, the restaurant and menu has recently been given a bit of a revamp.
The dining experience, however, is still as warm and welcoming as always.
The menu is kept fresh and seasonal, as we source all of our ingredients locally. Firm favourites include the Chicken Pie, Rack of Lamb and crumbed Camembert.
Carol, the owner, is well known for her delectable and unusual flavoured, homemade Ice Cream.
It’s an experience all on its own.
A carefully selected wine list offers some of the best wines of the Tulbagh Wine Route, as well as a few unique wine cellars of the surrounding areas. It’s a list that’ll make every wine lover’s heart skip a beat.
We do offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options and should you let us know in advance of any other dietary requirements, we’ll be happy to accommodate you.
