“My partner and I visited Readers Restaurant on Friday evening, 11 Feb 2022 and we were honestly surprised by the excellent service, creative and very tasty food.

The Watermelon "Pizza" is definitely a winner. The Springbok shank is the best game meat I have ever tasted and my partner enjoyed the sirloin immensely.”

“In this quaint street full of history is Readers Restaurant where you will get a very friendly welcome by the cat and the staff are just as friendly - sherry on arrival and the dinner we had was excellent, served on hot plates and the 350g pork chop cooked to perfection, sirlion tender and tasty, salad leaves come from the community garden and lemony dressing was delicious. Ice cream to end was a added bonus.”

“The oldest building in the street is now a restaurant been open since 1997, the cuisine is amazing using fresh ingredients from local suppliers, steaks pork shops and delicious salads , service was good and wine list local wines, they also offer picnic baskets which I hear are the best.”
